Two techniques shape these images; Blind contour drawing and continuous line. Two simple rules apply: do not look down at the paper until you are finished drawing, and do not lift the pen. Consequently you are forced to intensely observe your subject, and you have no choice but to rely on intuition rather than looking and judging the line that is drawn underway. The logical left side of the brain is overridden and the right side is brought into action. The results can be weird, disturbing, surreal, distored and warped, but usually always interesting in some way.
